ABOUT US

SES-GOI Faculty of Management Library is truely the learning and resource centre for the students as well as the faculty members who provide current literature and other learning aids to the users.
The Library is having precious, lush green surroundings with precious reading hall of 60 students’ capacity. The Library has a very comprehensive collection of books, journals, periodicals and open access resources. The library housed more than 1400 books on different areas of management. The library is having audio visual collection which is catering the different information needs of the users.
The library is subscribing 5 newspapers to meet the information needs of the users. Open access system, reference service, easy accessibility, current updates, good collection of open access digital resources on different subjects these are the prominent features of the library. The library membership is given to the in house students.

LIBRARY HOLDINGS

The Library has developed an excellent collection of books, journals and non-book material on Science, Engineering , Technology, Humanities, Social Science and Management. It separate collections of reference books, Bound volumes of journals, & Compact discs. The total collection of library as on 1st May '2010 stands as follows :

SERVICES OF LIBRARY

Following are the facilities:-
  • Reference Service:
           Library provides reference service to its users from time to time. We suggest books to readers; help them to search the information they need.

  • Alert Services:
           Library provides alert services to readers. This includes giving information about seminars/ conferences being conducted in nearby areas, making readers aware about latest happenings in field etc.

  •  
  • Newspaper Clippings Services:
           Library provides these services to make students informative, updated about the subject. Newspapers clippings are displayed on notice board of library. Even students can refer back articles.

  •  
  • OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) Service:
           Through OPAC students can access full collection of library. Students can search the books, the books available on particular subject as per their needs.

  •  
  • CAS (Current Awareness Service):
           Every month a list of additions to the library collection is displayed on the notice board and also made available online.

  •  
  • SDI (Selective Dissemination of Information) Service:
           An info alert service is available for faculty members. Faculty members are given daily updates on current affairs in their respective domains.
