The department of Information Technology was established to cater the need of trained person power in Information Technology. The department aims at IT based Learning, Development of Entrepreneurship among students and become a Centre of Excellence. The Department places high priority on establishing and maintaining innovative research programs that enhance the educational opportunity and encourage the broad base of extramural support to prepare future generations of computer professionals for long term careers in research, technical development and applications. Our stress is more on problem solving through proper practical training at our institute. Thus keep the students always updated regarding current developments in previous technologies and recent advancements.

Today, the term Computer Engineering and Information Technology has ballooned to encompass many aspects of computing and technology, and the term has become very recognizable in terms of productivity and speed with quality control. Computer engineer is trained in Software designing and hardware-software integration so they are always involved in many aspects of computing from design and microprocessor, personal computers.
